Charlotte and Chris chose The Tithe Barn for their October wedding. It certainly takes on another charm in autumn. There is something particularly romantic about this venue with it’s fairy lights and candles. And of course it’s the perfect location for all those delicious autumn colours in the landscape. Hints of burgundy provided the perfect compliment to an already stunning venue. Although in truth, it does not really need anything extra!
The day began with Charlotte and Chris getting ready separately at The Devonshire Fell in Burnsall. It’s always lovely when both parts of a couple are getting ready in the same place so I can spend time with both of them on the morning on the wedding. Usually unless I have a second photographer with me I can only shoot one half of the preparations so it’s always a refreshing change. After all, there’s 2 people getting married! And it was wet. Very, very, very wet! No amount of rain would put a dampener on this day though. If anything, it added to the atmosphere of warm and cosy inside the venue. Unfortunately the soggy ground would later mean we wouldn’t manage to get down to the abbey for couple’s photos but it did not matter one bit.
Chris looked dapper in his suit from Mullen and Mullen and Charlotte wore a Stella York dress from Little Pearl Bridal Boutique. Her bridesmaids accompanied her in stunning burgundy dresses carrying flowers from Wildflowers, Ilkley. Charlotte arrived in style in a VW Beetle with the bridesmaids arriving in a VW van. Thankfully the rain stopped long enough to get some lovely shots outside of the venue before the ceremony. The ceremony was incredibly romantic with readings from both the groom’s brother and the maid of honour. Speeches of course, were hilarious. And what could be more perfect to move into evening celebrations than fire pits, marshmallows and sparklers! Charlotte and Chris brought me my first experience of a Ceilidh band and it was truly incredible. I ended up staying late because I was just having so much fun right in the thick of it! What a day! Here’s just a small selection of images from their amazing wedding.
